MOC- My Own Creation. The Origins.
I have been a fan of Kow Yokoyama's Maschinen Krieger designs since the 1980's. Back then it was called SF3D but that was changed to Maschinen Krieger due to copyright issues. I started kitbashing the available Nitto SF3D kits but they were hard to find and expensive. I acquired a Tamiya Monster Beetle chassis in the mid 90's and decided to make a body that fitted into the SF3D genre. I was familiar with the aesthetics and also a fan of WW2 Wehrmacht equipment, Star Wars, Terminator and other SCI FI Hardware. The build took several months and resulted in a Radio controlled vehicle that would crawl along very slowly before flattening the batteries.
